Access TO THE SOCIETY LIBRARY with books on your class reading lists

What does it mean to be involved?

When you get to be a part of the student body that represents academic interests within your department, your voice can be heard and can amplify others. Not only do you improve the society by lending your unique perspective, but you gain access to a community of people within your program. You become a driver in creating the university experience that best serves you and your peers.

If you are a registered student in the Anthropology department and have paid your ASU fee for the term, then you are already considered a "general member" of the AnthSoc. You are welcome to all events and general meetings and are able to apply for executive positions within the society.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is coordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
