Mary Jane Morniga
First Year Representative (she/her)

Mary Jane is in her first year at UWaterloo in Honours Arts, with her prospective majors as Anthropology and French. She acts as a representative for first year students in the Anthropology Society. Outside of studying, she likes to read, spend time with friends, listen to her music playlists, and watch whatever show she's currently finishing. She's looking forward to meeting many new people and making memories while at UWaterloo!

The First Year Representative works with all other positions in the executive team in order to engage with first years who have not yet selected their major but may be interested in anthropological studies. â€‹

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is coordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
