Mary Jane Morniga
VP Events (she/her)

MJ is in her 2A term at UWaterloo. She’s majoring in French Studies, but she still has a passion in Anthropology! Specifically in Biological Anthropology, as she finds evolution fascinating! When not focusing on her classes, MJ enjoys reading, crocheting, hangingout out with her friends, and raising her family of aloe veras.

The VP Events is responsible for coordinating society led events to create a memorable and strong community. Events also works in conjunction with the office of communications to create, plan, and execute that interest, support, and educate students within the department.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is coordinated within our Office of Indigenous Relations.
